For many years I’ve been using an ancient M Audio expression/volume pedal and it’s starting to send the odd random change, clearly the pot is past it. Looking around, I found this virtually unused Sonicake volume/expression on ebay and won it for a tenner (20-30 new). It’s more than 2/3 the size (good for board real estate) and works perfectly. I’m sure my size 11 boot can manage to use it. The input jack will need raising up, since it’s just below the edge of the pedal case and I don’t want a long right angled jack cable.

It’s passive, so no power needed and alternates between the two modes simply plug in a mono or stereo cable. Works perfectly with my HX effects, a great find.

My Kinsman pedal case is also on it’s last legs, so I picked up a new one have the chance to recreate the board more efficiently. Am thinking of getting a base board fully covered with velcro since the pedal came with velcro attached. I’ve struggled in the past with the lower half of the velcro coming away from the lining  of the case below it.
