Another year draws to a close and I'm delighted to say it has been a busy one musically. As well as working towards the 6th Das Rad album "Ceasefire" (possibly a double album!)  I've been busy on an album alongside Victor Nicholls and Martin Pyne, playing and recording with my improv trios "Seppings" (with Peter Rophone and John Jasnoch) and "Signs" (where I play keyboards with Peter Rophone and Dean Thom). I'm also having a great time developing my acoustic playing in a trio called "Six Feet Three", where I get to cover bands such as Crimson, Family, Be-bop Deluxe and many others. My thanks to them all especially Martin Archer, a consummate musician and good friend.

Here's a new video for a piece I recorded a few years ago. Despite being a devout atheist, Christmas carols have such a resonance for me, I've interpreted several others in the past.

With my 70th birthday just over a year away, I'm acutely conscious of how lucky I am to still be creative, as I see my younger brother, friends, peers and heroes "shuffling off" with increasing rapidity. I'm making a conscious effort to focus on my music as much as possible and am slowly stepping back from a lifetime of origami and web site design. My fascination with looping and other guitar processes is undiminished and I feel I've finally found confidence and trust in my musical voice, after decades of trying not to embrace my influences too closely.
