A local (and fine) venue Hagglers Corner is running Electronic Music Open Mic nights, thanks to the efforts of Brawny. You get 15 minutes to basically play whatever you like(!). These evenings present a fascinating range of electronic music and performances. I decided on a whim to loop some piano (plus farfisa & mellotron) instead of guitar and felt somewhat naked without my 6 strings, but it's a piece I've been developing on guitar, so I had the concept in my head. This may appear in some form on my next solo album.

Slightly disconcerting that people set up all around you while you paly, but that's the nature of the beast, with some tech-heavy performers needing as long to set up than they get to play ;)
