My main band Das Rad played a run of dates co-headlining with Discus Music stablemates This Celestial Engine. We played Salford, Todmorden, Leeds, Sheffield and finished in Derby. I was slightly nervous about the physical demands, but the energy of playing live sustained me. In the end, it was a huge success and much fun was had. TCE featured drummer Ted Parsons (Swans, Prong, Godflesh, Killing Joke, Jesu), bassist Dave Sturt (Gong, Steve Hillage Band, Bill Nelson), and keyboardist Roy Powell (InterStatic, Anthony Braxton, Mumpbeak with Bill Laswell) and it was a joy to watch and work alongside such talent.
