My Focusrite 4i4 died recently after 2 years. Luckily, it was under warranty and the Focusrite team responded rapidly to arrange a replacement. They had no 4i4s in stock, so sent me an 8i6 instead! Extra inputs and outputs (although it is no longer USB powered). Up and running in 10 minutes and my ableton CPU is running at 10% again, so no (unintentional) glitches.

In the past, I’ve tried to save a few quid by buying second-hand, but this (and my son) have persuaded me of the merits of buying new. Massive thanks to the team at Focusrite, a truly professional company!
