When Das Rad toured across the north of England in September 2024, our take on the old psych garage classic Buzzsaw by The Turtles proved to be a popular live number – so much so that we decided that while it might not fit on an album, it would make a great vinyl single. So here it is! The original only had one word, so Peter came up with some new lyrics.
The B side has a new Das Rad music “Babbit & Rat”, and the DL also includes Dubsaw, an extended dub rework of Buzzsaw.
Personally, this is the first 45 I’ve played on since the heady days of he mid-80s when my band Typhoon Saturday was signed to Polydor. Have to say, it’s great to be handling vinyl again. My pal Aidan Hall put together the video for us (and contributed bass to a track on one of our earlier albums.)
