I’m rebuilding my midi foot controller from scratch, adding some extra features. Most importantly, a pair of switches to change banks. In order to display the current bank, I’ve started working with a 7 segment LED and after a little persuasion, it’s now showing the number 1. It’s a common cathode type, so thankfully only requires one current-limiting resistor.
The child in me is going “wow – I’ve made flashing lights!” but I’m sure the more complex array coding required for numbers 2-9 will bring me back down to earth 😉
